Tropical Lion

Tropical Lion presents a lion resting across raised wooden planks in a murky, swamp-like environment.

The work takes on a skeptical view of the “Lion City,” a misnomer given the absence of lions in the region, yet reflects how people continue to live with and make the best of it.

Despite the unstable, fragmented footing and sombre surroundings, the animal appears calm and at ease, suggesting quiet resilience and a broader human tendency toward perseverance in uncertain conditions.
