Referencing Singapore’s founding by Sir Stamford Raffles, Willy Tay questions the idea of crediting a nation’s success to a single figure alone.

The work invites viewers to consider exactly which stories get told, what is omitted, and encourages a more nuanced understanding of history and identity informed by multiple perspectives.
