Alienation

Inspired by Zhuangzi’s butterfly dream, Alienation depicts a hazy landscape interrupted by a small, hovering UFO, blurring the lines between reality and imagination.

The work’s muted tones and ambiguity evoke a sense of dislocation, where the familiar feels strange. In line with the exhibition, the work reflects on the tension between belonging and alienation, suggesting identity as a fluid, uncertain state.
