iPreciation is pleased to share a recent feature by Asian Art Contemporary on our current solo exhibition, Beyond Adversity: Irene Chou’s Small Works in her Later Years.

The feature explores Irene Chou’s remarkable resilience and artistic development during the later years of her life, highlighting how she continued to experiment and create despite significant personal and physical challenges.

It also examines the recurring imagery and techniques found throughout Chou’s later works, including her vibrant use of colour, bold ink strokes, circles, cosmic forms and symbols of rebirth. Particular attention is given to her Life is a Many Splendoured Thing series, created during her later years and reflecting her enduring vitality, spiritual reflection and appreciation of life.
