Asian Art Contemporary Features “Ink Unbound – Wang Dongling · Chaos Script”
04 June 2026

iPreciation is pleased to share that Asian Art Contemporary has featured our current exhibition, Ink Unbound – Wang Dongling · Chaos Script.
The article introduces Wang Dongling’s pioneering practice of chaotic script, highlighting how the artist reimagines traditional Chinese calligraphy through gesture, rhythm, spatial dynamism and improvisational freedom. It also discusses the philosophical foundations of Wang’s practice, drawing connections to classical Chinese poetry, Daoist spontaneity, Zen Buddhist intuition and the embodied nature of ink art.
The feature presents key works from the exhibition, including Lao Tzu – Tao Te Ching: The Principles of Naturalism (2018), Li Bai – Farewell at Jingmen Ferry (2019), and Su Shi – When It is Clear, the Ripples Gleam on This Beautiful Lake (2023), while positioning Wang’s chaotic script within the broader context of contemporary ink art.
