Published, designed and edited by iPRECIATION.
Description
Published in conjunction with iPRECIATION’s solo exhibition of Wucius Wong – Spirit of Sky and Land, this book contains almost 40 pieces of Wucius Wong’s best works from 2003 to 2008. Born in Guangdong, China, Wucius started as a self-taught artist and was gradually attracted to Western modernism. Embodying a ‘powerful, mysterious quality’, Wucius’ abstract art are at once vigorously captivating and elusively atmospheric. The sweeping ink works evoke a deep poeticism, while the formal compositions reveal an attraction to Western modernism.
The publication is accompanied by an introduction by the artist. Wucius Wong is now an Adjunct Professor of the Fine Arts Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
