Description
Published in conjunction with Master sculptor Ju Ming’s retrospective exhibition of his Living World Series, held at the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) in Beijing, July 2010, this publication features a stunning collection of this series, from the 1980s to date. The series of sculptures are based on various aspects of the living world, giving not only an in-depth depiction of what the artist sees and feels for life, but expresses the beauty of a variety of materials used. Up to now, Ju Ming still continues to develop works inspired by the living world, carrying out his creative philosophy of “Art as Practice” while making breakthroughs in art.
This publication includes essays by Chong-ray Hsiao, professor of history at National Cheng Kung University and I-ming Chen, assistant Researcher at Ju Ming Museum’s Collection and Research Department.
