Description

In conjunction with Zhang Jian-Jun: Vestiges of a Process, iPRECIATION launches Zhang Jian-Jun ’s latest publication, Zhang Jian-Jun 張建君 as a tribute to Zhang ’s contribution and success in the fine arts. A multi-disciplinary artist, Zhang works in various mediums including oil, watercolour, photography and sculptures. Playing with modernist shapes and antique Chinese vessels, Zhang blends modern Western influences with ancient Eastern touches, allowing the old and the modern as well as the East and the West to intertwine,

This publication contains a retrospective collection of Zhang’s creations dating from 1980s to 2007. The publication is accompanied by an Afterword by Fang Zengxian, director of Shanghai Art Museum, as well as an essay by Robert C. Morgan, a renowned art historian and author.
