A SOLD-OUT SHOW OF YE JIAN QING AT THE ROTUNDA, HONG KONG


iPreciation would like to thank everyone for their gracious and enthusiastic support for the landmark exhibition “The Art of Ye Jian Qing” which was held at the Rotunda, Hong Kong Exchange Square from 27 th April to 5 th May.

This sold-out solo exhibition by artist Ye Jian Qing – a viewing of his work from 2005 to 2007 - heralded the unveiling of a new form of Chinese aesthetic in today’s contemporary art scene. As described by prominent art critic and academic, Dr Zhao Xun, Ye Jian Qing’s art is truly an “emergence of China” for its muted yet original sensibilities, deeply moving philosophy, and creative lyricism.

During the week long exhibition, viewers were able to trace Ye Jian Qing’s artistic progression while understanding his signature themes and motifs. Discerning art lovers and collectors were unanimous in their belief that Ye Jian Qing is setting the pace for the future direction of contemporary Chinese art.

Come September 2007, iPreciation will once again take centre stage at the Rotunda, this time with leading master sculptor and artist, Cheung Yee. This full length exhibition will display Cheung Yee’s much anticipated new sculptural works as well as his classic paper castings, and promises to be an unsurpassed major event in the Asian arts scene. We hope our loyal friends will be able to join us once again in appreciation of these unique artistic masterpieces!
