SINGAPORE - On the night of 7 June 2007, Michael Chen: The Calling for Eternity opened successfully to a cozy gathering of art collectors and friends of the artist. As the guests strolled in to the gallery housing the 30 poignant black-and-white photographs of religious buildings, an ever-cheerful Chen was there to offer details of his works. Tales of his adventures to distant places and his inspirational influences behind these pieces were enthusiastically presented throughout the 2-hour opening reception that commenced at 6.30PM.
An exceptional exhibition of photography at iPRECIATION, Chen’s works undoubtedly roused much attention owing to his unique perspective that does not merely lead to the capture of a scene’s superficialness. From variable angles as he sees fit through his lens and with the natural scatter of light, he locks in the impeccable elements that the scene resonates and this only Chen’s authentic photographs can so genuinely reflect.
Michael Chen: The Calling for Eternity is open to the public from now till 20 June 2007.
