AMERICAN-CHINESE ARTIST HUNG LIU TO VISIT SINGAPORE

Mark your calendar! For on 24 January, 2007, Wednesday, Hung Liu, the talented artist known for her contemporary works that conveys her bold inner contemplations of historical photographs, will be visiting Singapore. Liu, a professor of Arts at Mills College in California, is the latest artist to have her artworks showcased at iPRECIATION.


11 January, 2007 saw the successful opening of Hung Liu's first ever solo-exhibition, "Old Road, West Wind", in Singapore. Professor Jeff Kelley, curator of Contemporary Art at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco and Liu's husband, had also flown in personally from Beijing to grace the colourful event.


Held at iPRECIATION, the turn-out was impressive as guests not only had the opportunity to meet Kelley, who provided the audience with detailed explanations of Liu's paintings, they were also able to indulge in multiples of their personal interpretations that Liu's art openly evokes.

Artworks are on preview till 31 January, 2007 at iPRECIATION.
