TAIPEI - 24 May 2007 at the crowded city centre not far from Taipei 101, ART TAIPEI opened with a bang to a group of VIPs and special guests in Taiwan; and iPRECIATION is right there! After closing successful at Korea International Art Fair (KIAF) 2007, we brought with us 9 artists of significant caliber including the pioneer of modern Chinese sculpting, CHEUNG YEE, as well as budding artists YE JIAN QING and BUDI UBRUX. Other artists on exhibit were WANG WEIXIN, MICHAEL CHEN, HUNG LIU, RIKI ANTONI, TSE YIM-ON and ZHANG JIAN-JUN.

Occupying 3 booths that sum up to a spacious 60 square feet, iPRECIATION again stood out distinctly from the rest of the exhibitors, mainly Taiwanese galleries. Each booth bore a special theme reflecting the wide range of talented artists we represent. Compliments were abundant especially of our first booth which displayed Cheung Yee sculptural and cast paper works. This served as a preview of sorts to our exclusive Cheung Yee exhibition to be held at the Rotunda Exchange Square in September this year.

Works that also captured the attention of many art fair goers in particular were oil on canvas paintings by Budi and Ye Jian Qing with the latter’s works sold out! Creations by Michael Chen and Cheung Yee were similarly popular as a number of their works were acquired by art collectors.
