About the Artist Photo Gallery
Hung Liu is a widely-acclaimed artist to hail from the United States. She has held over 50 solo exhibitions and over 100 group exhibitions in the United States, China, Japan and in many other parts of Asia and Europe. Liu's paintings and art installations are on permanent exhibit at The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The University of Arizona, and numerous corporate institutions in the United States.
Chinese history complemented with her own experience is beautifully captured within her paintings that seem to be relating a story about her motherland. Subtly through her art, Liu is reconstructing China's history, revealing an exclusive insight on societal issues in its most intimate.
We will be showcasing 16 of Liu's artworks created between 1990 and 2006. Flying over from United States, the artist herself will also be gracing this event. The exhibition will be open to the public from 12 to 26 January 2007.
